Planning to celebrate with your special someone at home this Valentine's Day? Why not prepare a special meal to tantalise tastebuds and pamper your partner.

Renowned chef Sue Zweep, of Zweefers in Fairy Meadow, has devised a special St Valentine's Day menu that can be prepared with minimum effort and fuss.

Sue suggests some pre-preparation both the night before and on the morning to make the evening much more pleasurable, or perhaps the preparation could be shared by two!

Even the table could be pre-set with a candle and champagne glasses, with a last-minute sprinkle of rose petals to add that final touch.

``Of course, old romantics like us (Sue and husband Hugo Zweep) keep it very simple with a bottle of French champagne and a couple of dozen oysters natural," Sue said.

She suggested picking up one of Zweefers' special Valentine's desserts to complete the perfect romantic dinner, or even skip the main and go straight for the sweets!

Zweefers has a variety of luscious indulgences such as pots of rich chocolate mousse with grand marnier ($7.50), or hazelnut meringue hearts sandwiched with chocolate mousse and served with raspberry coulis ($15 for two hearts and coulis or $7.50 a single heart with coulis).

There are also zingy passionfruit tartlets ($2), personalised chocolate St Valentine's Day hearts (must be pre-ordered) ($5) or a mouth-watering mini-cake with over-the-top hand decoration detail ($35).

Sue said it was better to phone through orders if possible, so as to avoid disappointment.
